After the appointment of Martyn Taylor as CTO, Bartr Technologies continues to expand its engineering team with the appointment of Marc Savy as Lead Engineer. Marc joins Bartr Technologies from RedHat, the global leader in open-source software engineering and support recently acquired by IBM. Marc brings a wealth of experience as a senior full-stack engineer, specialising in messaging and middleware architecture and enterprise delivery.

Bartr Technologies announced the appointment of Martyn Taylor as Chief Technology Officer. Martyn joins the Bartr Group team from RedHat, the global leader in open-source software engineering and support company recently acquired by IBM. Martyn’s brings over 10 years of experience as an enterprise lead as a full-stack senior engineer, with a focus on middleware, messaging and distributed computing. He has led the delivery of global-scale projects for clients as diverse as BAE Systems, IG Index and Domino’s Pizza. Martyn will head up the global engineering team and the newly established Bartr Group development office in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK.

i2cat and Bartr Group have signed a Memorandum of Understand (“MoU”) for co-operation on the medium and long-term commercialisation of R&D product applied to global networked environments, with a focus on the telecommunications sector. i2CAT Foundation is a non-profit research and innovation centre that promotes mission oriented R&D activities on advanced Internet architectures, applications and services. The centre stands for a new open innovation framework, fostering the collaboration between companies, public administration, the academic environment and end-users.
