Bartr Group confirmed as DLT lead in successful bid consortium for Horizon 2020

A consortium of 13 telecommunication and technology industry organisations, including Bartr Group, Telefonica and IBM, have been confirmed as the successful project bid group to deliver 5GZORRO –  Zero-tOuch secuRity and tRust for ubiquitous cOmputing – and connectivity in 5G networks. Bartr Group will provide Distributed Ledger Technology (“DLT”) expertise as the technology lead in this area as part of the consortium. The project forms part of the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 programme. Horizon 2020 is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever with nearly €80 billion of funding available over 7 years (2014 to 2020) – in addition to the private investment that this money will attract. It promises more breakthroughs, discoveries and world-firsts by taking great ideas from the lab to the market. The 5GZORRO project begins 1st November 2019 and will be delivered by the consortium over a 30 month period.
